Fragile Dignity is a poignant black and white drawing that captures resilience amidst loss. Dissolving figures and symbolic elements, paper boats, dissolving hands and feet, and an origami bird marked with imperfections, speak to fading safety and fragile hope. At the centre, mothers and children embody two realities: despair and quiet endurance, revealing the dignity that persists even in life’s most fragile moments.

Created entirely in stippling with archival fine liner on paper, every dot builds texture, depth, and meaning. The gradual dissolution echoes journeys shaped by displacement, survival, and memory. Though universal, the themes resonate with histories of war and genocide, echoing the experiences of those whose lives are fractured yet enduring.
